Training Schedule

RFSC iRMT Courses are available year round in various locations.  There are 9 different Training Centres.  The schedule is below.

 

912 SERVICE SPECIALTY Length:
2 Days
Prerequisites:
Minimum Age: 18 YR. (Younger participants will be issued a Certificate of Attendance.)
Details:
After successful completion of this specialty, students will be able to do all inspections, up to annual or 100 hour.
912 MAINTENANCE SPECIALTY

Length:
2 Days
Prerequisites:
Students must have a current 912 Service Specialty Rating.
Details:
Following successful completion of a Service specialty, a technician is eligible for the Maintenance Specialty Programme. This covers changing line replaceable parts, without removing the engine from the aircraft.
9 SERIES HEAVY MAINTENANCE SPECIALTY

Length:
3 Days
Prerequisites:
Students must have current RFSC 912 Service and Maintenance Specialty ratings.
Students must have 2 years hands on working experience with Rotax aircraft engines.
Details:
The technician must have field experience and have completed the Service and Maintenance programs prior to enrolment.  This program covers the repair to all parts to the engine with the exception of the splitting of the crankcase.
9 SERIES OVERHAUL SPECIALTY Length:
3 Days
Prerequisites:
Technicians must have 5 years hands on working experience with Rotax aircraft engines and be working for a repair facility that has the required tooling and work areas.
Details:
This specialty course is only available to technicians working for select iSC and iRC facilities.
2 STROKE MAINTENANCE SPECIALTY

Length:
2 Days
Prerequisites:
None
Details:
This 2 day programme will show systems function, full disassembly and reassembly and ratings will be dependent on past training and experience.
RFSC iRMT INSTRUCTOR DEVELOPMENT COURSE Length:
5 Days
Prerequisites:
Technicians must have 5 years hands on working experience with Rotax aircraft engines.
Details:
This course is available by invite only.
2 STROKE MAINTENANCE  SPECIALTY RENEWAL Length:
Part of a 1 day programme.
Prerequisites:
Technicians must have a current RFSC 2 Stroke Maintenance rating.
Technicians must show proof of working with Rotax 2 Stroke engines during the previous 2 years.
Details:
This course is to fulfill the Rotax requirement of 2 year renewal of each specialty rating.
912 SERVICE SPECIALTY RENEWAL Length:
Part of a 1 day programme.
Prerequisites:
Technicians must have a current RFSC 912 Service rating.
Technicians must show proof of working with Rotax 912 engines during the previous 2 years.

This course is to fulfill the Rotax requirement of 2 year renewal of each specialty rating.
